Thanksgiving has come and gone and even the holiday purists among us now have to admit that, for those of us who celebrate Christmas, it is finally time to decorate for season. Wreaths and garlands, inflatable Santas and light-up reindeer will all make their way out of the basements, attics and garages where they have been hibernating since last year. And of course, many of you will be re-assembling the beloved artificial Christmas tree. Around 75% of American homes that partake in the Christmas tree tradition do so with an artificial tree. That still leaves quite a few of us though who long for the fragrant scent and nostalgic appeal of a real tree. So if you are ready to head out and grab a saw (or a pre-cut Fraser Fir if that’s more your speed), here are a few fun places where you can find your tree around town!
Berry Patch Farms
Berry Patch Farms in Woodstock has been in the blueberry business since 1978, and 10 years later added Christmas trees to their seasonal, pick-your-own fun. Grab a saw and cut down your own Leyland Cypress, or choose a pre-cut Fraser Fir. Tree stands and accessories are also available, along with a variety of wreaths to complete your Christmas decor. After cutting down your tree, you can rest for a bit, while sitting on the porch eating a warm funnel cake and sipping some hot apple cider!
